摘要: In recent decades, several studies have demonstrated the healing capability of bituminous materials, and this property is recognized as an important asset for development sustainable road pavements. This paper presents a comprehensive summary various concerning materials in order to arrange relevant topics, evaluation their results finding essential fields further investigations step toward designing infrastructures. Additionally, there attempt highlight differences between real other recoverable phenomena viscoelastic which has been ignored many studies. regard, mechanism phenomenon, influencing factors (type bitumen asphalt mixture, presence rest periods, temperature so on.) studying methods evaluated. Furthermore, suitability induction heating technology enhancing preventive maintenance approach was discussed. Regarding subject, proposes set recommendations future such differentiating responses application pavement design based on in-depth field experiments, analyzing effects additives by considering chemical monitoring bitumen, developing unified laboratory protocol quantify mixtures assessing applicability according long-term impacts.
