摘要: a b s t r c Remediation of two polluted soils from northern Italian industrial site heavily contaminated with organic contaminants was attempted here by subjecting first to addition an exogenous humic acid (HA), and, then, oxidation reaction catalyzed water-soluble iron-porphyrin (FeP). An expected decrease detectable pollutants (>50%) already observed when were treated only the H2O2 oxidant. This reduction substantially enhanced (FeP + H2O2) and largest effect for most highly soil. Even more significant in (70-90%) amended HA then subjected FeP treatment. extractable after combined treatment due formation covalent C O bonds between soil molecules. Moreover, concomitant detection condensation products extracts following confirmed occurrence free-radical coupling reac- tions FeP. These findings indicate that technique based on action both matter metal-porhyrin catalyst, may become useful quantitatively reduce toxicity prevent environmental transport pollutants.
