摘要: A better understanding of the etiology and pathology related to distinct subtypes anhedonia can lead more efficacious personalized treatments. The current study advances knowledge on consummatory - represented in Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) subconstruct Initial Response Reward (IRR). Sweet Taste Test (STT) has promise as a behavioral paradigm for IRR, it is sensitive manipulation μ-opioid receptors. However, there lack existing how STT relates anhedonia, personality traits, phases menstrual cycle. To address these questions, we administered 72 nonpsychiatric adults (76% women; mean age: 19.11). As predicted, hedonic slope reflecting increasing “like” ratings over concentrations five sucrose solutions (ranging from 0.05 M 0.86 M), was lower individuals reporting higher (measured with Temporal Experience Pleasure Scales Consummatory Subscale) women mid-to-late luteal phase (days 20 28). Both effects were driven by sweetest concentration. larger scoring Flight-Freeze-Avoidance System factor Reinforcement Sensitivity Theory Personality Questionnaire least sweet No or aspect Big Five Aspects Scale STT. may be valid specific standardized add particularly if validated large transdiagnostic psychiatric sample.
