Effect of modified clay and Mg(OH)2 on the properties of ethylene propylene diene monomer/silicon rubber nanocomposites

摘要: Ethylene propylene diene monomer and silicon rubber were blended in different ratios, the physico-mechanical properties cure characteristics studied. It was found that ratio 60/40 phr (parts per hundred parts of rubber) ethylene monomer/silicon exhibited best value. Therefore, this loaded with required concentration each, unmodified clay two modified clays (one distilled water other anionic surfactant), to prepare nanocomposites.
