摘要: Genetic recombination is usually considered to facilitate adaptive evolution. However, prevents the reliable cotransmission of interacting gene combinations and can disrupt complexes coadapted genes. If interactions between genes have important fitness effects, restricted may lead evolutionary responses that are different from those predicted a purely additive model could even aid adaptation. Theory data demonstrated phenomena limit effectiveness via increasing homozygosity, such as inbreeding population subdivision bottlenecks, temporarily increase genetic variance available these populations. This effect has been attributed conversion nonadditive variance. Analogously, chromosomal inversions apomictic parthenogenesis physically restrict in part or all genome also result release Here, we review synthesize literature concerning potential populations with effectively recombination. Our goal emphasize common theme increased short-term access situations motivate research directed towards more complete characterization relevance process.
