摘要: This paper evaluated and compared the growth maturation of preschool children in 3 study villages Guatemala. Specifically this sought to determine extent which observed responses could be attributed nutrition program feeding village or environmental sanitation health services treatment village. Sequential measurements height weight skinfold over triceps head circumference were made for all but those ones concentrated on 5 years study. Head although equal at start increased boys faster than girls villages. Preschool both sexes had greater circumferences their counterparts control However cases these significantly smaller comparable groups US. Increase with age was similar For gain general patterns tended grow other 2 Rates followed a pattern. Average age-specific gains less among The maximum potential generally differences not significant. Estimates do differ under 1 there no significant between acceleration. Boys (ages 1-4) have higher rates weight. No relationship found days illness gain. Clearly displayed superior nutritional status as seen from curves data bone circumference. they still retarded when well-nourished children. Actually even far optimal due irregular consumption food supplement. Their better performance may been education rather supplementary feeding. 1st hypothesis that would improve supported by moderate thickness 2nd supported; introduction disease prevention medical care reduce frequency severity allow an improvement status.
