摘要: The aim of the present study was to investigate effects eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) supplementation during in vitro maturation (IVM) bovine oocytes. concentrations tested all experiments were 1 nM, μM, and mM EPA. effect EPA evaluated on cumulus-oocyte complexes (COC) by oocyte (cumulus expansion area nuclear maturation), genotoxicity [single cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE)], cytotoxicity (apoptosis, viability, MTT assays) end points. parameters affected exposure COC different IVM medium. Cumulus increased presence nM (P < 0.05) whereas addition decreased cumulus after 24 h IVM. Moreover, rate significantly when assayed 0.001). at induced genotoxic cytotoxic cells (CC) primary DNA lesions A significant increase frequency apoptotic 0.01) necrotic 0.001) observed treatment with Mitochondrial activity altered We inferred that optimal quality partially dependent adequate concentrations; could be beneficial improve process, because low concentration (1 EPA) improved expansion.
