A Holistic Perspective on the Dynamics of G035.39-00.33: The Interplay between Gas and Magnetic Fields

摘要: Magnetic field plays a crucial role in shaping molecular clouds and regulating star formation, yet the complete information on magnetic is not well constrained owing to limitations observations. We study massive infrared dark cloud G035.39-00.33 from dust continuum polarization observations at 850 μm with SCUBA-2/POL-2 JCMT for first time. The tends be perpendicular densest part of main filament (F M), whereas it has less defined relative orientation rest structure, where parallel some diffuse regions. A mean plane-of-the-sky strength ~50 μG F M obtained using Davis–Chandrasekhar–Fermi method. Based 13CO (1–0) line observations, we suggest formation scenario due large-scale (~10 pc) cloud–cloud collision. Using additional NH3 data, estimate that will gravitationally unstable if only supported by thermal pressure turbulence. northern M, however, can stabilized modest support local field. middle southern parts are likely even taken into account. claim clumps may turbulence fields against gravitational collapse. Finally, identified time (~200 ⊙), collapsing starless clump candidate, "c8," G035.39-00.33. surrounding "c8" pinched, hinting an accretion flow along filament.
