摘要: Abstract Background Growing attention in the past few decades has focused on improving care quality and of life for nursing home residents. Many traditional homes have attempted to transform themselves become more homelike emphasizing individualized care. This trend is referred as culture change U.S. A promising model, Green House shown positive psychological outcomes. However, little known about whether model effects physical function compared homes. Objectives To examine longitudinal by comparing patterns activities daily living over time between residents Design retrospective study. Settings Four organizations (nine units four units). Participants total 242 (93 149 residents) who had stayed at least 6 months from admission. Methods The outcome was function, main independent variable facility type which resident stayed: a or unit. Age, gender, comorbidity score, cognitive depressive symptoms baseline were controlled. All these measures minimum dataset. Growth curve modeling growth mixture employed this study analyses. Results mean showed deterioration time, rates not different time. trajectories identified 18 months, but there no statistical difference likelihood being one trajectory classes two groups. Conclusions Although are considered represent an innovative changing environment into person-centered, did demonstrate significant differences changes Given that continues evolve it implemented variations within across identified, large-scale studies needed provide further relevant information model.
