摘要: Total mercury levels ranging from 2 to 16 ppm in eggs did not appear affect the hatching and fledging of herring gulls (Larus argentatus). Mercury breast muscles 5 American widgeons (Mareca americana), mallards (Anas platyrhynchos), 17 blue-winged teals discors), 21 common goldeneyes (Bucephala clangula), mergansers (Mergus merganser), 7 hooded (Lophodytes cucullatus) averaged 0.5, 6.1, 6.5, 7.8, 6.8, 12.3 respectively at Clay Lake 4-6 weeks prior hunting season 1971. Methyl five ducks ranged 69 99 percent total mercury. Crayfish (Orconectes virilis) muscle contained highest food items found esophagi stomachs ducks; high values are likely related their feeding on crayfish.
