摘要: Individual growth patterns in red-spotted masu salmon,Oncorhynchus masou rhodurus, were examined by mark and recapture a mountain stream, central Japan. The pattern varied substantially among individuals of the same age cohort stream. Mean absolute rates neither significantly different between years, study sections along stream course, or sexes, but showed significant differences seasons. No correlation was found individual rate fish area pools they inhabited. However, there considerable variation inhabitants pool. Within pool, larger grew more rapidly than smaller ones, despite being no relationship initial body weights overall. probably resulted from depensation caused intraspecific competition within pools.
