摘要: A system and method for providing a virtual Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) session between client unable to support PPPoE an access concentrator are disclosed herein. gateway situated the can act as proxy concentrator, thereby allowing send receive data to/from in protocol supported by client, provides this through initiated maintained gateway. Likewise, from is transmitted gateway, reformats using then forwards reformatted client. Additionally, be adapted allow PPPoE-enabled clients establish sessions directly with via while bi-directional communication not enabled PPPoE.
