摘要: The objective of the study was to determine phenotypic variation among four Bhutan indigenous chickens (BIC) namely Seim (SM), Phulom (PL), Yuebjha Narp (YN) and Khuilay (KL). A total 120 (KL, 30; YN, PL, SM, 30) were included for present study. Based on descriptive statistic analysis, results illustrate that there are three types comb single type predominant. Bhutanese do not have feather shank head is plain. common colours earlobe in birds white red. White skin colour rank high BIC groups; however, SM yellowish observed high. predominant pure black YN (48.28 percent), KL (30.00 reddish brown (33.33 percent) PL (23.33 percent). In addition, breast, back neck followed similar pattern colour. Among populations, strains greatest lowest plumage diversity, respectively. For example, eight different breast surveyed birds. Therefore, considering colourings, seems more diversity morphology but, it requires further studies. On other hand, appears less requiring appropriate development conservation strategies Bhutan. Moreover, large variations possibility making improvement BIC.
