摘要: The channel utilization of 802.11-based wireless local area networks has been studied extensively from an analytical perspective. However, these studies consider formed by saturated stations that transmit UDP-like traffic to randomly selected destinations. This model cannot be easily applied hot spots since: i) the majority Internet applications are based on TCP protocol; ii) is rate-controlled and flow control mechanisms impede saturate; iii) users’ either sent towards or received access point. paper first provide in when there M users which use connections download Internet. Specifically, this work we analytically investigate complex interaction MAC collision avoidance techniques 802.lib-based spot networks. We validate our means simulations, exploit it thorough reasons following counter-intuitive observations: almost independent number connections; average point contends with few for bandwidth.
