摘要: Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of a new off-pump mitral valve repair technology in restoring competency porcine model acute regurgitation. Methods Acute regurgitation was induced 6 anesthetized pigs by cutting anterior leaflet chordae. Artificial chordae were then transapically implanted on prolapsing segment under epicardial echocardiographic guidance and secured outside left ventricular apex. All intracardiac manipulations performed off-pump, through stab wound incision Results Cutting caused an eccentric, posteriorly directed jet that could be visualized color Doppler sonography. Implantation apex completely eliminated 4 animals reduced 2. Intraoperative measurement artificial chordal tensions gave similar values to those reported for native Conclusions Off-pump, transapical implantation between effective reducing acutely Long-term studies are planned assess stability this animal model.
