摘要: The paper presents a study on developing an effective reservoir operation policy by using artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm. decision maker of system always needs guideline to operate the in optimal way. Such guidelines named ‘release curves’ have developed for high-, medium-, and low-inflow category that can answer how much water be released month observing level (storage condition). Aswan High Dam Egypt has been considered case study. For comparing model efficiency, another heuristic approach—genetic algorithm (GA)—has used. So far, GA is well established most popular release optimization. Historical inflow data 18 years used simulation purpose, general performance-measuring indices (such as reliability, resiliency, vulnerability) measured. application procedure problem formulation ABC are very simple optimizing system. After actual historical inflow, succeeded meeting demand about 98 % total time period. According results, showed better performance than approach
