摘要: Abstract This paper highlights three recently reported examples in which nanostructures silica have been modified by bombardment with high energy heavy ions. The first example concerns the transformation of spherical nanocolloids into ellipsoids aim to built a photonic crystal irradiation 4 MeV xenon second refers writing micro-structures using an 18 MeV silicon micro-beam and resulting limitations structurability. last deals deformation metallic cobalt nanoparticles 200 MeV iodine bombardment. Various mechanisms are briefly examined. experiments favor melting clusters ion impacts flow tracks.
