摘要: Objective To determine the incidence rates and risk factors of cervical trochanteric hip fractures (HFs) among patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) based on a nationwide population-based data set. Methods We conducted cohort study using from Taiwan National Health Insurance database. Patients SLE their age- sex-matched counterparts without were identified. The primary end point was first occurrence HF. Cox proportional hazards model used to evaluate respective HFs in cohort. Results Among 14,544 (90% women, mean age 38.1 years) followup 6 years, 75 developed HF (incidence rate 8.60 per 10,000 person-years). Compared controls, ratios (IRRs) for developing 3.17 (95% confidence interval [95% CI] 1.92–5.39, P < 0.001) 1.11 CI 0.58–2.11, = 0.571) IRRs 2.38 1.58–3.63, women 1.06 0.21–4.93, 0.922) men. Lupus younger than controls (mean 56.7 versus 67.8 years; 0.007). Multivariable regression analyses showed that age, use intravenous cyclophosphamide, higher dose steroid, stroke associated HF, whereas only factor HF. Conclusion SLE is but not these 2 types have different factors.
