摘要: Abstract The composition, size, and peptide structure of a fatty acid synthetase aggregate from etiolated Euglena gracilis was studied. lipoprotein containing about 40% lipid. Low-angle laser light scattering the native yielded molecular weight 6 · 10 up to concentrations 30 μg synthetase/ml; at higher concentrations, increased 11 . Viscometry solutions results that suggested asymmetric formed ‘dimer’ above synthetase/ml by side-to-side interaction. prepared in presence variety proteinase inhibitors included least six peptides M r 150000 or less. More than 68% protein less 150000. N-terminal amino analysis gave eight different residues all present integral amounts, seven 11% one 24% total α - N -dansyl acids. -aggregated appears be very large true multienzyme complex.
