摘要: This paper describes some of the challenges in defining terms “collection” and “collection development management” digital age. It uses a four-phase framework to explore impact information technology on library collections over last half-century. also draws current doctoral research definitions from wide range stakeholder perspectives. The argues for continuing importance libraries’ core functions collection management, value term “collection”. advocates collaborative network-based approach developing managing globally accessible world.
