摘要: The purpose of this study was to develop a greater understanding Supercross bicycle motocross (BMX) via notational analysis. Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) categorized Elite riders (n = 26) were the subjects analysis; event occurred during UCI BMX World Championships. Video footage captured and analyzed using Quicktime™ VideoMotion© software. movement patterns time spent pedaling, jumping, "pumping" determined for each run. On average, Men took 39.62 ± 0.78 seconds complete track, 30.45 3.2 pedal strokes 11.83 1.11, 9.64 1.79, 17.05 1.51 "pumping," respectively. Women 40.95 0.91 33.65 5.06 14.40 2.17, 6.28 1.41, 17.80 1.83 "coasting pumping," dominant investigated start, takeoff, landing, pumping hip (∼30 times per lap) knee extension (~30 leg horizontal shoulder abduction adduction (20 lap). Future research is needed identify power acceleration profiles sport, which would be paramount determining best practice in testing preparing athletes. Exercises that specifically target extensors hips, knees, ankles muscles responsible are recommended.
