摘要: The authors examine differential progress on health Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) between the poor and better off within countries. Their findings are based an original analysis of 235 Demographic Health Survey (DHS) Multiple Indicator Cluster (MICS) surveys spanning 64 developing countries over 1990–2011 period. track five status indicators seven intervention from all four MDGs. In approximately three-quarters countries, poorest 40 percent have made faster than richest 60 MDG indicators. On average, relative inequality in these has been falling. However, terms outcome indicators, nearly half growing. Moreover, one-quarter slipping backwards absolute both interventions outcomes. Despite reductions most inequalities still appreciable, with facing higher risks malnutrition death childhood lower odds receiving key interventions.
