摘要: INTRODUCTION Low-cost, high-fidelity models for training in advanced laparoscopic surgery techniques are not currently available. The objective of this study was to evaluate a model and assessment protocol developing associated fine, precise dissection skills with accompanying surgical decision making. METHODS Novice expert laparoscopists (n = 41) were asked remove the peel clementine as few pieces possible, separate all albedo from between fruit segments, return close its natural state possible completely closed skin (sutured). Clinical making included deciding when unacceptable segment damage would result by removing difficult-to-extract albedo, analogous treating lesions or metastases through other methods, rather than risking vital anatomic structures. Faculty assessed deidentified video-recorded performances. Data analyses analysis variance Bonferroni post hoc. RESULTS A single-performance construct (operative ability) 2 scoring dimensions (surgical clinical judgment) confirmed factor analysis. There significant performance differences experience levels (F2,41 59.175, P < 0.000). no statistical time groups. CONCLUSIONS Validation low-cost, easily facilitated may support preparation residents fellows provide platform skill acquisition, assessment, basic critical thinking performing tasks.
