摘要: Abstract The influence of carbon content on an iron–chromium cermet composite reinforced with Ti(C,N) (50 vol.%) has been studied. A thermodynamic simulation was performed using the ThermoCalc software to calculate phase diagram composite. results were validated by a thermal study differential analysis (DTA), and samples C percentages between 0 1 wt.% added steel matrix prepared conventional powder metallurgy process. sintered characterised measurements density hardness, microstructural scanning electron microscopy (SEM), microanalyses energy dispersive X ray spectroscopy (EDX) X-ray diffraction (XRD). obtained show significant percentage solidus temperature, which influences sintering behaviour, leading changes in particles' shape composition, due stoichiometry Ti(C,N). This is reflected microstructure hardness. are discussed reference DTA studies.
