A subsample 385 individuals completed repeat survey determine test–retest reliability. Retrospective were also compared with prospectively ascertained information used predict objectively measured systolic blood pressure test their predictive validity. Findings Across all decades life, generally good (κ range = 0.62–0.78 for frequency, 0.55–0.62 usual 0.57–0.65 occasion). The concordance between prospective consistently moderate high. method performed better than question identifying life-time abstainers. related manner anticipated. Conclusion A AUDIT-C grid provides relatively reliable measure across life-course.
