摘要: Introduction Verification of new decompression procedures has traditionally been based on observing the occurrence sickness (DCS) in test dives. Several hundred exposures are required to determine safety a procedure with any degree certainty. The number venous gas emboli (VGE) corresponds risk getting DCS and detection VGE used as an alternative method for validation procedures. We propose improved VGE. Methods Our Bayesian statistics combines results from ultrasound VCE dives knowledge about correspondence between obtained large previous experimental studies. algorithm is implemented computer program; it estimates 95% credible intervals tested procedure. Results have applied available data air diving 7 14 each estimated correspond confidence 130-250 using binomial distribution traditional "DCS observation validation." Discussion conclude that, compared methods, proposed can greatly reduce validate or reject
