摘要: This retrospective clinical study of patients with nonmetastatic prostate cancer demonstrates that transfused at the time initial diagnosis or operation have a higher frequency recurrence (54 percent) and death due to (19 than not receiving blood transfusions (recurrence rate 31 percent, p = 0.005; 10 0.08). difference is explained by being older, having less favorable stage disease, differentiated tumor histology. A multivariate analysis confirmed additional risk dying from was 2.82-fold in those transfused. As previous studies, may be greater whole transfusions. Prospective studies association between perioperative transfusion are needed. For present, prudent practice should include avoidance blood, fresh frozen plasma, platelet reliance on autologous
