摘要: Peaks with anomalous abundance found in the mass spectra are associated ions enhanced stability. Among scientific community focused on spectrometry, these peaks called 'magic peaks' and their stability is often because of suggestive symmetric structures. Here, we report findings ionised Na-acetic acid clusters [Na(+) -(AcA)n ] produced by Na-doping (AcA)n UV laser ionisation. labelled n = 2, 4, 8 clearly distinguishable from intensity. Ab initio calculations helped elucidate cluster structures energetic. A plausible interpretation magic given terms formed dimer aggregation. The encasing Na(+) twisted dimers proposed to be origin conceivable dimer-formed tube-like closed structure for -(AcA)8 .
