摘要: Abstract Flagella can be quantitatively removed and collected from Polytoma uvella by suspension in 50–60 per cent glycerol at subzero temperatures. When suspended solutions containing ATP, these isolated flagella beat vigorously swim forward through the medium up to a sixth their normal speed. The continue dephosphorylate ATP rate required supply energy for movement, although less than 5 of this is used moving against viscous resistance medium. flagellar beating depends on concentration, but dephosphorylation nearly constant above 2 × 10−5 M. Although other nucleoside triphosphates are dephosphorylated quarter observed with they do not induce nor corresponding diphosphates. ADP induces movement same as because possess an adenylate kinase. high specificity kinase suggests that it might play role relaxation portion cycle contraction.
