摘要: Although the modern production and use of stone tools is rare, ethnoarchaeological research on this subject has provided important perspectives methodological approaches to archaeological lithic analysis. Recent lithics frequently takes form “cautionary tales,” warning against primacy functional variables most commonly invoked by analysts. I argue that ethnoarchaeology would benefit from a comparative organizational framework for explaining variation in patterns tool into account predictability redundancy location timing technological activities. Understanding underlying causes use, turn, offers exploring sources record. also analytical perspectives, such as chaine operatoire sequence reduction approaches, can insights gained through research, helping us define concepts identify appropriate units
