摘要: As the Olympic Games have turned gradually into a mega event, International Committee (IOC) tried to professionalise planning process related Games. part of this endeavour IOC has launched OGGI project (Olympic Global Impact Study), which aims safeguard three dimensions sustainability: environmental, social and economic values. Host cities are asked monitor developments along these by means indicator analyses. In article author welcomes monitoring efforts but raises critical questions regarding strong focus on analysis. Using examples from past events, he argues theoretically empirically for use qualitative data in impact studies.
