Sequential use of Fenton and electro-Fenton process for the oxidation of an effluent-containing hypophosphite and phosphite

摘要: AbstractThe efficiency of both chemical and electrochemical Fenton processes to treat wastewater effluents from the manufacture phosphorus-based flame retardants was investigated. Experimental tests were performed on solutions ranging 600 2000 mg l−1 in terms reduced phosphorus. Different concentrations ratios hydrogen peroxide ferrous ions tested, best conditions found for processes. For treatment, where a gas diffusion cathode adopted, effect carbon coating current density investigated, identifying hydrophilic coating, named Vulcan, as material value 100 A m−2 optimal density.
