摘要: It has been suggested that the short-term clinical outcome of schizophrenia may be better in developing than industrialised countries. Little is known social disorder medium term societies. In a study 120 clinically stable outpatients clinic Nigeria, we examined social, occupational and residential outcomes after 13 years. A substantial proportion patients showed moderate to severe degree disability areas occupation contact. Four percent were homeless or unstable abode. While men particularly disadvantaged establishing marital relationship also evidenced impaired fecundity, women had more domain frequency quality Poor response initial treatment indices premorbid adjustment associated with poor years illness onset. Even though these come predominantly from low (and occupational) groups, they still manifested downward drift on ladder. long term, traditional family networks inadequate prevent societies acquiring significant multiple disablement.
