摘要: Heat-capacity measurements on adsorbed $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ are reported. The densities studied start slightly under monolayer completion and go up to above second-layer completion. temperature range is $0.04 \mathrm{K}lTl4.2 \mathrm{K}$. After subtraction of calculated values the contributions from first layer (solid), desorption, we find that second behaves as a two-dimensional interacting Fermi gas at all for which partial third not present. cannot be represented by same virial coefficient used layer. absence substrate-induced ordering transition allows one study behavior over larger than We shape, temperature, density dependence very low (\ensuremath{\sim} 0.1 K) rounded anomaly in specific heat different With small amount present, solidifies temperatures below 0.98 K.
