摘要: Today, lighting in United States residential and commercial buildings consumes close to 5 quadrillion BTUs of primary energy one-fifth all electricity. In buildings, one-quarter demand is for lighting. With a forecasted doubling floor space by the year 2020 comes an urgent growing need find more efficient ways our nation's buildings. Hybrid Solar Lighting (HSL) technology that can do just collecting sunlight distributing it via optical fibers, into interior building. A nation-wide field trial program currently under way provide system performance data user-feedback essential successful commercialization HSL. This paper will describe several locations HSL their intended use as well some savings data.
