摘要: INTRODUCTION We investigated the accuracy of endorectal coil Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Fast Spin Echo (FSE) technique in staging prostate cancer. MATERIAL AND METHODS MRI was performed 70 patients with biopsy proved prostatic A total 33 subsequently underwent radical prostatectomy. T2-weighted FSE sequences (TR 3400-4100, TE 120, train length 13) were acquired all patients. Axial, sagittal coronal 4-5 mm images obtained 13-14 cm field view 256 x matrix. Additional T1-weighted spin echo 9 Lesion on MR according to American Urological System. data compared pathologic findings whole-mount sections surgical specimens. RESULTS Overall for imaging 60%; ten cases underestimated 3 overestimated. The sensitivity specificity diagnosing capsular penetration 77% 81%, respectively. Seminal vesicle invasion detected 87% 96% specificity. CONCLUSIONS Endorectal provides a more accurate preoperative local staging.
