摘要: The impact of numerical simulation on the study turbulent transition is reviewed briefly, and its probable future evolution discussed. It argued that, in next two decades, it should be possible to many problems more economically efficiently by means direct than actual experiments. This already true today for some classes flows. Some that will likely studied this way immediate are then much advantage computational methods due not only their efficiency simulating experiments, but ability execute “thought” experiments cannot performed otherwise.
