摘要: Habitat use by the Coues white tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus couesi) was documented during dry season of 2006, in Sierra del Laurel, Aguascalientes, Mexico. Based on logistic regression analyses, objective this study to determine which floristic-structural and topographical features influence probability habitat deer. Vegetation, slope, altitude and distance water were significant (p < 0.01) use. The thresholds for slope, altitude estimated for a high p (y³0.5) varied due to vegetation type. Sites subtropical vegetation with 50 trees Ipomoea murucoides Roem. & Schult by hectare 350 shrubs Eysenhardtia polystachya Ortega Sarg., mean height shrub layer over 2.0 meters, had greater than percent. However type is scarce threatened agricultural development Laurel. results research clearly point out need promote management conservation strategies since it preferred deer, turn should be considered as an asset state holders option derive additional income from hunting fees other economic activities pertaining multiple land.
