摘要: With a minicell system, the organization of genes encoding type 1 fimbriae Salmonella typhimurium, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Serratia marcescens was determined. In all cases multiple gene products were necessary for phenotypic expression fimbriae; thus fimbrial in these strains is similar to that Escherichia coli. The subunit detected by ability its product react with specific antiserum. At least six found be involved S. at four constituted cluster K. pneumoniae. case marcescens, minimum three detectable polypeptides required production fimbriae. Also, probe consisting part nucleotide sequences from E. coli hybridized discrete DNA fragment derived plasmid pneumoniae Such assumed contain structural component Each cloned systems encoded number which varied size; thus, molecular weight accessory proteins each genus not identical.
