摘要: Remote sensing has a long and successful track record of detecting mapping archaeological traces human activity in the landscape. Since early twentieth century, tools procedures aerial archaeology evolved gradually, while earth observation remote experienced major steps technological methodological advancements innovation that today enable monitoring earth’s surface at unprecedented accuracy, resolution complexity. Much data acquired this process potentially holds important information about location context sites objects. Archaeology started to make use tremendous potential by developing new approaches for detection based on digital associated procedures. This chapter reviews history, tools, methods, products image analysis, emphasising recent trends towards convergence sensing.
