摘要: Although fear of recurrence (FCR) is common among cancer survivors, it remains unclear what factors predict initial levels (e.g., prior to surgery) or changes in FCR the post-treatment period. Among women treated for breast cancer, this study evaluated effects demographic, clinical, symptom, and psychosocial adjustment characteristics on (preoperative) trajectories over 6 months following surgery. Prior surgery, 396 were assessed demographic clinical (disease treatment) characteristics, symptoms, psychological quality life (QOL). was using a four-item subscale from QOL instrument. Hierarchical linear modeling used examine scores identify predictors inter-individual differences preoperative 6 months. From before surgery post-operatively, with showed high degree variability FCR. Preoperatively, who lived someone, experienced greater spiritual life, had higher state anxiety, more difficulty coping, distress due diagnosis family members reported scores. Patients better overall physical health at enrollment demonstrated steeper decrease scores over time. These findings highlight heterogeneity time undergoing Further work needed provide interventions experiencing during after treatment.
