摘要: A simple point-to-point data link protocol (SDL) is defined which based on the use of a length indicator field and an error check field, rather than a flag, for performing packet boundary recovery in receiver. In embodiment of invention, SDL transmitter transmits packets comprising header variable payload. The SDL header comprises (LI) type cyclic redundancy check (CRC) field. For receiving these transmitted packets, supports self-synchronization/self-delineation technique receiver performs self-delineation as function LI self-synchronization, or packet recovery, as both CRC particular, in performing packet recovery, over each received SDL packet synchronization declared after N correct checks, e.g., = 4 . The SDL operates hunt mode when synchronization, normal mode has been accomplished.
