摘要: Formulating effective policies to promote intermodal freight transport (IFT) market share calls for performance measurement models that help benchmark the efficiency of chains, and identify points improvements. Despite importance measurement, studies on IFT chains are quite limited. This paper presents a modified network data envelopment analysis (NDEA) method measure different inside network. NDEA is an extension traditional (DEA) which used evaluate multi-divisional systems. It has been before in other sectors as well. The application this what can be seen sequence divisions, involves two main challenges. first challenge number divisions because, network, we may have with structures, where sequential transshipment transportation activities varies. second defining relevant intermediate service connects various divisions. Both challenges discussed original formulation extended cope these We also illustrate presented model by applying it sample 10 European results compare analyze sources inefficiencies. Based observations, general conclusion would most less efficient chain, therefore, focus improvement efforts majority corridors should terminal
