摘要: The proliferative behavior of satellite cells in growing rat soleus and extensor digitorum longus muscles was examined at short periods after initiation hindlimb unweighting. Mitotic activity both decreased below weight-bearing control levels within 24 h This cell response > or = 48 before any atrophic morphological changes that take place the muscles. Suppression mitotic most severe muscle where continuous infusion label demonstrated virtually all abolished between 3 5 days. results this study suggest is a sensitive indicator primary occurring myofibers may be predictor future changes.
