Models, algorithms and applications in vascular image segmentation

摘要: A synthesis of the authors' projects in field 3D vascular image processing last decadeis provided. This work was motivated by following applications: display improvement, extraction geometrical measurements, acquisition optimization, stent-pose planning, phantom generation, blood-flow simulations. The methods are often dependent on imaging modality and/or anatomic region. They involve both: low-level models intensity patterns and profiles, higher-level cylindrical shapes. Amongst various algorithms used, recursive tracking fast-marching level-sets emphasized. Critical analysis each model algorithm is carried out. Problems that remain open, perspectives associated with progress techniques, listed.
