摘要: Understanding the spatiotemporal characteristics of ambient air quality and identifying associated factors are helpful to develop integrated interventions prevent control pollution. Based on daily data index (AQI) in 31 Chinese provincial capital cities 2014, this study aimed investigate variations pollution influencing factors. The spatial temporal patterns AQI were presented using GIS map heat map, respectively. We constructed a hierarchical linear model quantify effects meteorological socioeconomic AQI. In nonattainment (AQI >100) rate was 34.6% average (1.9 74.4%). Air levels highest winters lowest summers. found substantial AQI, with values middle-east area North China Plain. city-level positively vehicle population, industrial dust emission, GDP per capital, which cumulatively explained 67.5% also increased city’s annual atmospheric pressure but decreased mean temperature. Daily within city temperature, sunshine duration, wind speed, precipitation, relative humidity. national analyses indicate that exhibits significant geographical seasonal mainly driven by findings would help understand underlying reasons for health disparities provide important information guide targeted policy response
