摘要: The primary objective of this study was to investigate the effect repeated sublethal doses dimethoate (DM), an organophosphorus insecticide on glucose homeostasis, oxidative stress induction in pancreas and pancreatic damage adult rats. Daily oral administration DM (20 40 mg/kg b.w.) for 30 days induced a significant increase blood levels which associated with impaired tolerance. treatment resulted elevated tissue specific markers such as activities amylase lipase serum indicating dysfunction. Further, DT-diaphorase NADPH-diaphorase treated rats were also found be elevated. Interestingly, these biochemical dysfunctions accompanied by marked dose-related enhancement lipid peroxidation ROS damage. Additional evidence depletion reduced glutathione alterations enzymic antioxidant defenses among suggested stress.
