摘要: In the product development process as it is currently practiced, production still often neglected in early design phases, leading to late and costly changes. Using knowledge of designers concerning design, this paper introduces an ontological framework that enables feasibility analyses. way, number iterations between can almost certainly be reduced, which would accelerate process. Additionally, approach provides engineers with possible sequences used for planning. To provide feedback, presented relies on semantic web technologies. An ontology was developed supports model relations among products, processes, resources a way allows use generic SPARQL queries. Future applicability ensured by aligning top-level DOLCE. We also compare ontology's universals fundamental classes existing bases from manufacturing batch processing domains. This comparison demonstrates approach's domain-independent applicability. Two proofs concept are described, one domain domain.
