摘要: BACKGROUND: Previous studies of intimate partner violence have not compared the health care costs female victims with those a general population. METHODS: Our study is an analysis computerized cost data for 126 identified in large plan Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, 1994. Data were random sample 1,007 enrollees (aged 18 to 64 years) who used services same year. RESULTS: We found that annual difference $1,775 more was spent than on enrollees. Regression analyses significantly younger had hospitalizations, clinic use, mental out-of-plan referrals. Use emergency room across groups. CONCLUSIONS: Women this approximately 92% Contrary findings other studies, use driving factor higher costs. Findings service are supported by studies.
