Concentration and Metabolic Turnover of Indoles in Germinating Kernels of Zea mays L.

摘要: The amounts and rates of metabolic turnover the indolylic compounds in germinating kernels sweet corn were determined. Knowledge pool size rate has permitted: ( a ) identification indole-3-acetyl- myo -inositol as major chemical form for transport indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) from endosperm to shoot; b demonstration that free IAA is turning over rapidly with half-life 3.2 hours; c esters immediate precursors d neither tryptophan nor tryptamine precursor seed or e IAA- glycosides -inositol. It concluded seedlings Zea mays utilize IAA, not its derivatives, requirements seedling.
